Mill Creek Renewables Expands Community Solar in New York with the Commercial Operation of 31MW

May 25, 2022 - Mill Creek Renewables (MCR) is excited to announce the commercial operation of 31 megawatts (MW) of community solar projects located in New York. The six project sites are in the towns of Washingtonville (3 MW), Saint Johnsville (3 MW), Oppenheim (6.5 MW), Fort Johnson (6.5 MW) and two projects in Scottsville (6 MW and 6 MW).  We are excited to reach this important milestone for all of the local businesses and residents who will benefit from the clean, reliable energy generated by this portfolio of projects.  Combined, the projects are expected to produce more than 43 million kilowatt-hours in the first year, enough to power nearly 4,000 homes and offset the equivalent of 30,000 metric tons of carbon dioxide, the equivalent of taking more than 6,500 cars off the road.

We wish to express our gratitude to the project’s owner and also to the project’s developer Cypress Creek Renewables for partnering with us on these projects and we congratulate our team for this milestone achievement. We look forward to more opportunities to partner with businesses that share our passion for renewable energy.
